BT Light Tour–Planning the Launch!
I Missed BT TWOSDAY and its now Thursday, but I’m making a post about her anyway!! WOW!! So much is coming together on the Bubble Trailer Light Tour!
Im So Stinkin’ Excited!!
Here are the Stats n Plans:
We are 22 days out….. The Official Launch is at Bay Photo after work on Friday night, Sept 6! Popping a bottle of bubbly and hitting the road—ok, well, just to the beach for an overnight and some Sunset/Sunrise shoots with Ms. BT for her West Coast Portrait! LOL. #shessuchadiva
Then we head to Looking Glass Photo in Berkeley for a Travel Program and a little MeetNGreet! Our first BTLT (bubble trailer light tour) travel program–at a very cool store, I might add!
Then we will be heading to Lake Tahoe, and the Bonneville Salt Flats for some epic shots of the not-so-wild west! (saving the ‘wild’ west for the end of the tour!) Since we are shooting to build a cool calendar, we will be trying to get some real variety in the photo locations and styles of light! We will be sharing our techniques and lighting process along the way—Afterall, it IS the BT LIGHT TOUR.
We are also inviting great Photographers and Educators to join us on the Flats: the Panoptic Chopstick Guys and THE Bry Cox!! The Chopstick Guys, Steve and Mark, lead classes all the time, in fact they will be doing one on the day after the shoot on Tuesday! They are hilarious, knowledgeable and they LOVE Chinese food! Im sure Mr. Foodie Jonny will be chowing down with the likes of these guys!
Check them out: Panoptic Chopsticks…
They recently did a great workshop on the Salt Flats- you can check it out here: Salt Flat Workshop Recap: The Chopstick Guys
But we will also be fortunate enough to join forces with Bry Cox, who is one of Utah’s most awarded Master Photographers in Utah AND he happens to be a super nice guy! We have taught at Texas School together for, maybe, 6-10 years, and I’m just delighted to spend some quality time with him because when we are at school we are ON the RUN—as everyone knows who has been to the infamous and awesome Texas School!! #funontherun But Bry’s studio is in Salt Lake City and he often shoots the flats. (I’ve dreamed of it for years but never have) He did a great blog on a shoot he did here a while back… I love these shots, but Im hoping we have much better weather when we are there! Check out his blog here: Bry Cox Blog- Stormy Night on the Salt Flats.
Clearly, we have some real talent joining us and we will have a fabulous time! So stay tuned for the fun and imagery to come, and let’s Get Creative Together. You’re only looking at just the first three days of fun we have planned…. We’ll have about 63 more days of exciting things to share after this … Stay tuned for More! #MobileArtLife #CreateontheGo Join us for some photo fun!!
and don’t forget to follow us on @bubbletrailer!
