A Stroll in Full Color
While we were at Ben’s in Vermont, (continued from yesterday’s blog), we took a little stroll through the property, past the little houses he built (a blog about that is in the works!), and we headed for the outback field! We just took off down the path, out toward the pond where his dog loves to play. I was smitten immediately by the amazing colors and textures and the glorious light!
So while the boys (jon and ben) walked and talked, I went crazy capturing all the different wildflowers and bushes and berries…
I was shooting with my #LumixG9 and two lenses. All these images were either taken with the 10-25mm 1.7 which gives me that gorgeous shallow depth of field, OR the 50-200mm (which is equivalent to a 100-400mm lens on a full frame camera) and lets me get in close, even across the field! The two extremes let me get it all with lots of variety and allowed me to shoot even past sunset in low light. The 10-25mm lens is nice and wide and with the 1.7 aperture, it is perfect for night shots or very low light!
But as I was processing these tonight, the theme that emerged was COLOR! So here are a few plates that capture the kaleidoscope of natural colors, vibrantly showing off FALL in Vermont.
What an amazing hour. All these were captured within about 55 minutes, with sunset in the process!
Tell your story, the way it unfolds, however you remember it because You are the author, the one who decides: will this be color or black and white? Is it about the dog or the skies or the plants…or is it about the joy you find in the textures and light, everywhere you go?!
